Fishing Around

It's not always the quantity of fish you catch, it's the quality of the time you spend fishing.

My ultimate goal is not always to produce the best possible design. But instead to produce the best possible design that fits your needs. This means taking the time to ask questions and get a clear picture of what you want, why you want it, what your budget constraints are and what you hope your design will achieve. And for you, it means taking the time to get comfortable, maybe do a little soul searching and provide some good answers.

Referral based.

Typically new clients come to me from referrals from existing clients. The word-of-mouth world is a lot of fun and I treasure the familiarity and trust level that goes along with it.

While I’m pretty partial to the referral arrangement, I am always happy to talk with new people to see how I can help. I love to hear people’s stories to be able to determine if working together could be a good fit for both of us.

Strong relationships and clear communication mean the world to me.

New clients.

That said, if you like what you’ve seen and read so far, please shoot an email to chris@thistlefishdesign.com with a brief idea of who you are and what type of design you need. I’ll send you back a “new client” form and we’ll go from there.

Process

01.

Consultation

This step focuses on the details and defines your project scope. It may be a phone call, a meeting or a series of emails. It’s when I ask all the questions I need, to provide a solid proposal.

02.

Proposal

A proposal may be as simple as an estimate of cost to create your design — or may explore much further, including specific time frames, scope of work, responsibilities and a contract. Once approved, we move on to design!

03.

design

This is where the fun stuff happens. Where the rubber meets the road. Your ideas, your audience needs and all the facts and figures, come together and result in a design that sings. A message that gets heard.

04.

deliverables

Here’s where I hand it back to you. Whether it’s a set of logo files for you to put to use, a file specifically set up to your production specs, or a style guide explaining step-by-step how to use your design — I will make sure you’re covered.
