About Me

Thistlefish Design Established in 2011

As the daughter of an architect and a fashion designer, I was blessed with a generous helping of artistic genes and encouraged to be creative from a very young age. I wanted to be “an artist” ever since I can remember.

GETTING STARTED  I moved to Bend in 1978, with portfolio under arm, and after various interviews, some waitress jobs and some anxious waiting, landed a graphic design position at the local TV station. From that point on, I never looked back and have been designing, art directing and freelancing my way through a handful of creative positions which brought me to my most recent one as owner, creative director and designer at Thistlefish Design.

CLIENTS  Working in the Central Oregon region for over 30 years, I have been fortunate to have concepted and created some of the area’s most recognized identities such as Central Oregon Community College,  Humane Society of Central Oregon, Integrated Eyecare, Newport Avenue Market, SunWest Builders, Northwest Crossing, Classic Coverings & Deschutes Resources Conservancy. I’ve also had the pleasure of working along side a handful of small agencies and helping numerous clients both near and far with a wide range of design projects.

SKILLS  With an affinity for both communicating and listening, I bring my years of experience to the table to listen carefully and to initiate and stimulate creative solutions to every project. I have developed a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of color and a desire to inspire that makes me confident in my skills. Having worked at both print shops and marketing agencies, I’m very familiar with all the components that go into creating effective, impactful design. Whether it’s helping to brainstorm and create something from scratch, or designing new materials to fit into an existing brand, I’m up for the challenge.
